Elementary Small Group Classrooms
Children's Ministry
Teachers - prepare for and create an environment where kids can connect with their peers and with God.
Helpers - assist the teacher and connect relationally with students.
Enjoy spending time with children. Teachers are required to be Journey members.
Approximately 1-2 hours per week for teachers. Approximately 1 hour for helpers. Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
Host Team
Children’s Ministry
Greet and assist families with sign-in for classrooms.
Enjoy children, friendly, and outgoing.
Approximately 15 minutes-1 hour per week.
Kid’s Celebration
Children’s Ministry
K-5 students learn monthly virtues in programming that requires volunteers for drama, tech support, setup and tear down teams, greeters, singers, and dancers.
Previous experience with stage production is needed.
Rehearsals on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. Singers and dance team meet the last Monday of each month at 7pm.
Clean & Tidy Team
Children’s Ministry
Clean up and organizing of classrooms. Replenishing supplies used for children’s programs.
Flexible days and times.
Nursery Care Team
Children’s Ministry
Caring for babies from 8 months - 14 months of age.
Enjoy cuddling and caring for babies.
Approximately 1-2 hours per week. Work for this opportunity occurs on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
Preschool Classrooms
Children’s Ministry

S.S Kids

Buddy up with a Super Special Kid. Buddies work individually to provide support for kids with needs that may range from attention disorders to physical disabilities.
Enjoy children, friendly, outgoing; previous special needs experience is helpful but not required.
Approximately 1-2 hours on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
Salt and Light Leaders
Children’s Ministry
Provide a fun, relaxed environment with activities for children (K-5) whose parents volunteer on Sunday mornings. These kids have already attended a small group class so this is a social time, not a lesson time.
Enjoy spending time with children.
Sunday mornings at 11:15.
Special Events Coordinator
Children’s Ministry
Coordinate events such as team trainings, baby dedication, DJ for kids, etc. (food, decor, room setup, clean up).
Enjoy party planning.
Various times throughout the year - usually Sunday morning.
Wiggles & Giggles Helpers
Children’s Ministry
Provide a fun, relaxed environment with activities for children (preschool 3-5 years) whose parents volunteer Sunday mornings. These kids have already attended a small group class so this is a social time, not a lesson time.
