Global Missions Partners
At Journey Christian Church, we partner with three global ministries committed to making Christ known where many are still unreached. This work includes training leaders, planting churches, offering relief, and using media to share the Gospel. We are honored to stand with them in prayer, financial support, and partnership as they carry the name of Jesus to the nations.
North Burma Christian Mission
Although formally established in 1973, NBCM traces its roots back to 1921, with a vision to share the gospel and serve tribal minority groups across Southeast Asia. Today, their ministry spans Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, China, Tibet, and India, with a particular emphasis on the Lisu people, who are dispersed throughout these regions. Their work is multi-faceted—ranging from church planting, literacy and Bible schools, youth homes, and medical and relief services, to multimedia outreach, agricultural projects, and community development. NBCM remains especially committed to reaching unreached peoples, including more than 500,000 Lisu in China, Burma, and Thailand, as well as the 160,000 Mru people of Myanmar.
Tavriski Christian Institute
Founded in 1997 in Kherson, Ukraine, TCI exists to prepare church leaders, pastors, missionaries, evangelists, and counselors through theological training, leadership development, and a variety of formal and informal programs. As the first Evangelical theological school in Ukraine to receive a state license, TCI has made significant strides in advancing theological education—translating textbooks, developing online programs, and expanding access for students across Central Asia. Its alumni now serve in ministries around the world. Despite the devastating impact of war, including the occupation and destruction of its Kherson campus and library of 30,000 books, TCI has shown resilience. Operations continue from a temporary location in Ivano-Frankivsk, while plans are underway to establish a new campus near Kyiv to ensure ongoing training and equipping for future generations of Christian leaders.
Gospel Broadcasting Mission
GBM’s mission is to bring the light of Christ to people in remote, spiritually dark, and hard-to-access regions through the powerful medium of broadcasting. Using radio—shortwave, AM/FM, streaming, and podcasts—they share the gospel in multiple languages across Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and India, while also reaching listeners in the U.S. through The Christian Hour on radio affiliates. Guided by their vision, “Until All Have Heard,” and their Vision 2026 plan, GBM is working to expand its broadcast and media reach. Radio remains a uniquely effective tool, crossing borders and barriers to reach villages, conflict zones, and countries closed to missionaries—meeting people where they are with the hope of Christ in their own language.
